The heart and core of Pastor Saman is a burden to reach former heroin addicts in his native Sri Lanka. addiction came from the Buddhist background. As an evangelist, he has a burning passion for the souls since 1996.

As a pastor, he is called to share the divine love of God with the outcast and rejected who benefit from the vision, counsel, advice, leadership and comradeship of men like Saman.

Drug addicts, prostitutes, helpless sons and fallen women are brought under the umbrella of “Promised Land Church”, an indigenous work assigned to street communities in the capital city of Colombo.

“Where there is no vision the people perish” (Prov 29:18). How true! Multitudes there are who throng our cities on every side who are perishing simply because we have no vision. Christless masses for whom Jesus died may never hear God’s message of salvation unless we get a vision.

They do not know because we, his followers, are without a vision.

Christ, our vision, is to the lost and lonely in among the street communities particularly among the Sinhala, Tamil etc who have been neglected and refused an opportunity to grow in regular society. Help us make a difference today.
